Islamabad (Akhbar Latest. 28 February 2023) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged the acquittal of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Organizer Muslim League-N Maryam Nawaz in the Supreme Court. According to media reports, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry has said that a petition has been filed against the acquittal of Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. PTI Azam Swati filed in the Supreme Court, NAB is not filing an appeal against acquittal, so PTI is filing an appeal.

On the other hand, a letter was sent to the Chief Justice regarding the criticism of the judges of the Supreme Court by Maryam Nawaz, the chief organizer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. The letter regarding contempt of court against Maryam Nawaz was written by former Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan I have requested the Chief Justice to take immediate action to protect the reputation of the court, honor and dignity of the judges.

In his letter, Anwar Mansoor Khan has written that he wants to inform the Chief Justice about the conversation on behalf of Maryam Nawaz in Sargodha on February 23. Nawaz made allegations against the judges and Supreme Court without evidence, Maryam Nawaz criticized the bench members of Somoto case on the issue of elections, criticizing the judges was aimed at influencing and obstructing the process of justice

The former Attorney General wrote in the letter that Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Mazahir Naqvi were part of the bench in the Panama case against Nawaz Sharif, without any solid evidence, such language should not be used against the judiciary, I hope the court will see the facts. Taking into consideration the protection of the supremacy and dignity of the constitution, contempt of court action should be taken against Maryam Nawaz.
