TV and film legend Qavi Khan passed away

 The senior actor was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment in Canada for some time

Toronto (latest news. 05 March 2023) Pakistani TV and film legend Qavi Khan passed away. According to media reports, the well-known TV and film actor Muhammad Qavi Khan died at the age of 80. Actor Qavi Khan was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment in Canada for some time. President Arts Council Karachi Muhammad Ahmad Shah while confirming the death of Qavi Khan said that Qavi Khan had gone to Canada for treatment due to ill health, where Qavi Khan had a heart attack which proved to be fatal.

Muhammad Qavi Khan was born on November 15, 1942 in Peshawar, Qavi Khan has acted in more than 200 films and countless TV dramas, he started his career as a child actor on Radio Pakistan. But started working with Radio Pakistan dramas, when Pakistan Television started in Lahore in 1964, he got the honor of acting in its first drama "Nazarana", after that he did innumerable serials, series and individual dramas. I worked, including Andhera Ajala, Pushar, Lahori Gate, Two Steps Away, A Handful of Mud, Man Chale, My Killer Dies Dildar, Then Chand Pe Dastak, Dar Shahwar, Daughters, Dasan, A New Cinderella and Doctor Duagu's. The names are on the top however Qavi Khan made a name for himself in the drama serial Andhera Ajala and showed the best qualities of acting as an honest police officer, besides some of his popular films include Mohabbate Zindagi Hai, Society Girl, Chan Sooraj, Sarfrosh, Kale. Chor, Zameen Asman, Wrong Number, Maher Nissa and Pari. Qavi Khan was the first Pakistani television actor to be awarded the Presidential Medal for Excellence. He received this honor on August 14, 1980. He was also honored with Satara Imtiaz. Mohammad Qavi Khan has also received the PTV Award and the Life Achievement Award of Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television. He has also received awards, recently received the Mishman Kamal Award for his artistic services to the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi.
